Career Counseling

Career counseling focuses on issues such as career exploration, career change, personal career development and other career related issues. When people schedule a career counseling appointment they may or may not know what they want to get out of the process. Either scenario is fine. Our career counselors work with undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni from every field. Whether you are preparing for your first job or are an experienced professional contemplating a career change–we are happy to meet with you. We have staff members who are formally trained in psychology, business, arts, sciences, theology and humanities.

Our approach to career counseling varies by appointment and by counselor, but will generally include clarifying past experiences, interests, skills, strengths, and future direction. The completion of one or more assessments might also be involved. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), StrengthsFinder, Strong Interest Inventory, and SkillSort are the most common assessments used in our office.

Please call us to schedule an appointment: 562-903-4875.
