Appearance

If dress expectations are unknown for an interview, go conservative and dress professional.

Professional: Varies, but generally traditional in appearance (e.g., dark suits, jackets, ties, dress slacks, dark socks or nylons, dress shoes, dresses, minimal jewelry, no piercings).

Business Casual: less traditional and more relaxed, yet still neat in appearance (e.g., collared shirt, cotton trousers, slacks, leather shoes, dresses, skirts).

Casual: most relaxed in appearance (e.g., jeans, cotton trousers, collared shirts, t-shirts).
