Career-Related Clubs & Societies

Biola has a few national student chapters, but local clubs constitute the majority of offerings. Our campus will benefit as professional associations increase in number. Consider joining one of the following associations, or ask a professor to be an advisor of a new chapter.

Accounting Society (Biola)

Biola Accounting Society holds weekly meetings and utilizes local professionals who share their perspectives on the accounting profession, interviewing techniques and resume writing. They also sponsor “Meet the Firms,” which consists of panel discussions and a professional mixer. This allows students to talk to representatives from Big Four, private and public, industry and governmental accounting firms. In addition, mock interviews, office tours and social events occur throughout the year.

Art League (Biola)

Biola Art League is about building community through art and is an avenue for constructive feedback among those who enjoy art.

California Nursing Standards Association (CNSA) (Biola Chapter)

CNSA’s mission is (1) to maintain a statewide community of politically conscious, technologically savvy, socially aware nursing students, (2) foster transition of student to professional nurse through development of leadership, activism, advocacy, and (3) support scholarship, volunteerism, mentorship to influence nursing education and nursing care in California.

Film Music Guild (Biola)

Film Music Guild is a forum for film and music composition enthusiasts to showcase their work and establish working relationships within the commercial film field.

Guerrilla Film Society (Biola)

Guerrilla Film Society is a group of filmmakers and film enthusiasts determined to produce intelligent, thought-provoking films. It is a place to fellowship, encourage, and pray for each other; to watch analyze, and critique films; to discuss issues in the film community; and to make films that not only have good stories but also glorify God.

Health Careers Club (Biola)

The Health Careers Club educates supports, and builds community among all pre-health professional students at Biola.

Inkslinger (Biola)

The Inkslinger gives students an opportunity to be published as student writers and editors in a literary arts journal.

Investment Society (Biola)

The Crowell School of Business Investment Society is a forum for discussion and education of the many financial investment possibilities in stocks and bonds. The society provides hands-on experience through a real cash investment account along with educational tools such as a virtual stock exchange, speakers, and reading material.

National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) (Biola)

NSSLHA provides a collaborative forum in preparation for graduate studies in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Psi Chi (Biola Chapter)

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology aimed at encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology.

Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) (Biola Chapter)

The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations and communications. PRSSA is made up of more than 10,000 students and advisers organized into 300 plus Chapters in the United States and one in Argentina. PRSSA helps students enhance their education, broaden their network and launch their career in public relations.

Shredders (Biola)

Shredders is a place where film majors and those interested in film can come together to edit each others’ scripts, give feedback, and analyze what a person goes through during the writing process. The best part of it all is…you don’t have to be a writer. Visit Shredders just to read a good script or participate in discussion about characters, themes, and great stories.

Society for Political Involvement (Biola)

Society for Political Involvement discusses politics and how to incorporate Christianity into them. They host guest speakers, events, and bi-weekly meetings. Chaired by Anne Marie.
