Jobs | Internships

Whether you’re seeking temporary work, part-time employment, internship or a full-time position, the Center for Career Development is your gateway to securing a position!

Start by listing your distinctive qualities: interests, values, goals, education, skills, accomplishments, experience. Match your qualities with a target audience (organizations, people) that may be interested in paying for your service. Next, make a list of people who can influence hiring decisions – use Google, LinkedIn, Hoovers and other sources. Then call them to request brief (15 min) meetings. Create marketing material (e.g. résumé, cover letter, portfolio) to show how you are a perfect match for their specific needs (compare with a job description). Finally, follow-up with them until you land a position.
